We'll teach you how to use some of the common home woodworking tools safely and efficiently. There are different types of screws and hardware we’ll show you which is appropriate for the task at hand.

We'll review common problems with doors, shelves and cabinets. We'll show you how to remove, rehang a door, repair loose hinges, fix or replace door hardware.

We'll show you how to locate studs in a wall so that you can hang shelves or cabinets. We'll talk about strategies for avoiding pipes and wires.

There are many varieties of wood and plywood; which is the most appropriate for the job? We'll take you through techniques for cutting them to size or how to get your supplier to cut them to size for you. We’ll show you simple and effective joinery techniques.

We'll cover some simple furniture repairs, but also point out when to seek professional help.

We'll make recommendations for a basic home repair kit.
